The Story of Michele Watch: Where Bold Meets Feminine
The history of the Michele Watch brand dates back a number of generations to 1940s Belgium. It begins with the company’s founder, watchmaker Maurice Barouh. He instilled the love of -- and dedication to -- quality, style and craftsmanship to his son, Jack, who brought the line to Latin America.
When he and his wife, Rita, had their daughter Michele, a brand (name) was born!
The first products were colorful kids watches, created to help their daughter learn to tell time. She not only learned to tell time, but learned to design timepieces! Both Michele and her brother became the third generation in the family business, which relocated to Miami, FL in 2000. Today, they are one of the most popular brands in the U.S. market, and internationally recognized as a premier fashion brand admired the world over.
Michele watches are more than timepieces, they are an expression of oneself! They display an individual’s fashion, attitude and mood. Signature styling includes mother of pearl dials, Swiss-made movements and skillfully set diamonds.
They feature striking colors, extraordinary shapes and richly textured details. Easily interchangeable straps of fine alligator, exotic skins and premium calfskin leather make the diverse line particularly versatile.
Classic, feminine styles include:
- Deco Collection – A homage to the Art Deco influence of South Beach
- Urban Collection – A retro, European-inspired fashion with barrel-shaped case
- Sport Sail Collection – A sleek, gold look that marries high fashion and sport
- Serein Collection – Gently curved, polished pieces
- Cape Collection – Playful luxury
- Belmore Collection – Casual style with Feminine Flair
In 2004 the Michele Watch brand became a part of the Fossil Group.
